Pest control by Rentokil

In the animal nutrition sector, pest prevention is an absolute must. Rodents are omnivores and do not shy away from gnawing up supplies so that they can no longer be sold.

Preventive measures are not a luxury. An opening the size of a pencil is sufficient for mice to enter It is important to carry out a thorough inspection of the building and the storage place in order to trace any access roads and to take the necessary precautionary measures: closing holes and cracks, applying brushes under doors and gates, adjusting the way in which goods are stored, etc. In addition, the prevention of placing baits is recommended so that an accidental intruder is immediately caught. This can be done with biocides, but also with toxic-free solutions that are better for the environment and that your company can monitor 24/7.

But rodents are unfortunately not the only intruders; also stock and flying insects can cause a great deal of nuisance and damage.
Electric flycatchers offer a very effective solution for handling fly infestations. Moths can be monitored on the basis of pheromone traps that attract the insects.
A problem with stock insects can be tackled with space-saving biocides or fumigation - the spread of a gas that kills insects at all stages of their life cycle. Unfortunately, stock insects often arrive at delivery or during long-term storage; application of the FI-FO principle is therefore certainly appropriate.

Stock insects are difficult to detect at the initial stage. When contaminated animal food is packaged, the cycle will go unnoticed in the packaged goods with final destination 'the customer'. Thus, when the customer opens the package, there may be a problem that has been able to stay unnoticed within the package of the product. Fortunately, this is rare due to all preventive measures.
